Yellow is a strange color. It is a very cheery and bright color, but also a color that get's your attention quickly. Much like Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Throughout FDR's political career, he stood out and made people notice him. For better or for worse.
We can all agree that yellow can grab your attention. If you're standing in a very dark room, or looking at a black wall, and you see yellow, wouldn't it stand out? Wouldn't it be so much more noticeable than the rest of the space? Well that's exactly how Franklin was. He stood out to people as a great leader, and always will stand out to people. In the election of 1932, Franklin won in a landslide, and there was no doubt that he was the one that stood out to Americans, and not just because of his last name.
During the Great Depression, don't you think that Franklin had to be up-beat? Don't you think he had to be the example for the rest of the country to follow during a time of need? Well, this is another way Franklin resembles the color yellow. Yellow isn't only up-beat, but it's also very cheery, and gives off a happy mood. Now picture a red smiley face. Does that sound very happy?
